Long rides? Several day journey with pannier racks? Do we set it up with fat tires going to 27.5”+?
Not everything is carbon nor is it pure XC racing: details such as a third bottle mount and the rack mounts for large routes, or the routing for dropper seatpost if what you really want is to get some fun in the most technical parts, make this frameset a paradigm of versatility.
Apart from the 29er setup, the Zocalo gives us the option to go to 27.5"+ with a tire width up to 3.0". This way we will get extra traction, absortion and general grip to enjoy the toughest parts of the trail without having to switch to a full suspension bicycle, with the weight and manteinance simplicity gains of a hardtail.
